When to document with a Photo?
Everyday we read about videos and photos travelers take to document bad situations. When should you take a photo or video and how should you do it? If you are going to document situations, keep notes which include names of flight attendants, pilot etc. Your seat number and ticket number, which is the very long letters/numbers reference.
First get the time/date on your phone set correctly. Then include something in the photo that dates and places the incident.
When not to take a photo:
A manager/check in personnel has been horrible to you, ask for their card.…

Why You Need to Call Your Tour Operator
Please share with friends who have special needs they are reluctant to talk about.
Why should you also call your tour operator? Sometimes speaking with us at The Women’s Travel Group, brings up other questions you forgot or were nervous to ask.Example: A woman was hesitant. When we spoke with her, she told us she was on the heavy side and worried that she might not fit in.
Some questions are easier to answer verbally. Example: A woman asked if she, as an older lady, could do our trips?…

Photo is of Phyllis in Khajurahu, on our India trip.
Phyllis started The Women’s Travel Group in order to travel. She had 5 weeks vacation in her career as a banker; her husband had 2. She loved travel; he was indifferent. She wanted to see ethnic exotic places; he liked London, Paris.
There are many reasons why married women travel with The Women’s Travel Group. Some of the obvious ones are like Phyllis’. Less obvious:

Facebook Criticism re: Womens Thanksgiving Trip
Yesterday we stated that going away for Thanksgiving was good for those of us with no family or uncomfortable holiday memories. Facebook comments were: You should be with your family. We should not write that some families can be nasty.
The reality is many women of our age do NOT have family. That we want to escape the sad memory of lost husbands and friends during Holidays. Many feel they are a third wheel each year in a friend’s home.
Lets celebrate in whatever fashion is right for each of us.…

Why vacation over Thanksgiving?
The Women’s Travel Group offers both Christmas and Thanksgiving vacations. This year, 2016 we are going to the magnificent Amalfi Coast and Rome for Thanksgiving and Morocco for Christmas.
Thanksgiving evokes memories of warm families and of nasty families, of lost ones and of distant ones. Being geographically away from your life eases the good and bad memories.
For many of us, Thanksgiving is the beginning of a string of memories which culminate on Dec 31. Going away cuts that string and opens your mind and heart to new adventures which have no blemishes.…
