Five Reasons Women Don’t Book a Trip
We usually write about why you should book a tour with The Women’s Travel Group. Today after speaking with some women, we are sharing with you some reasons why women do NOT go ahead and book a trip.
We can all remember the first time we went to a function alone. It was scary, nerve wracking and sometimes we backed out and did not even go.
Why do women dream about travel then NOT GO. The most common reason is fear of the actual travel.…

We are pleased to show you photos of a few of our trips. Many more trips are listed on http://www.thewomenstravelgroup.com. The reason we are sharing these photos is to show women out there that we are regular, all ages, all backgrounds. We are also all casual.
Some things you cannot tell from the photos are:
We come from all over the US and Canada.
Some women here had never traveled overseas before.
Most knew no one on the trip!
Everyone was nervous at first and everyone relaxed and came back for another trip.…

Experiment with Your First Solo Trip

I came to see if the women were friendly? Proof: we have never had a trip when women did not exchange emails and phone numbers. We give you a list and you fill in the rest. …

Who Should NOT go to a Spa-Fitness-Yoga Resort?
Who are these women who go to a spa-fitness-yoga resort with us? I used to think a spa was for spoiled brats or body beautiful spandex groupies. Nope, not true. Phyllis@thewomenstravelgroup.com learned it was for everyone.
You do not have to be fit; classes at Ixtapan are for all levels. Pool classes cater to fit women and those starting to move again. Gym classes are challenging or minimal,as much one can manage. Can’t do 50 minutes, do 15. Haven’t stretched in years?…

Will you feel like Tiny Tim in your new super-cheap airline seat?
Airlines are beginning to offer new crazy cheap seats: example, American Airlines and British Airways yesterday: round trip New York to London: $485. The big guys are scared of the discounters and are taking action.
So what are we getting for that half priced fare?
The same routes and same schedules, most of the flights for mid March were empty-ish.
You will get your ff miles.Seats with extra leg room might cost you even if you have status on the airline.…

Named the TOP DESTINATION FOR 2016, Mexico City is a total surprise for most women who go with The Women’s Travel Group. Here is our trip.
Safe to wander downtown and easy to walk to the main plaza and stores.
Food is fantastic and if you avoid the obvious: unwashed veg and fruit, you will swoon. Mexico City is a gourmet paradise and our trips offer a la carte dining there. Do not miss the bakeries.
Don’t bring much money; everything is cheap and our trip includes most of your costs.…

Get a Life in 2017
How come we all don’t Get a Life? What holds us back from taking a trip? The Women’s Travel Group believes it is habits and allergies.
Habits are what we acquire; saying good things like Thank You, doing good deeds like picking up litter or reacting appropriately like smiling at a child. Habits are also bad, no need to list those. But did you ever think about traveling as a habit? Once you get out of the habit or if you never had the habit, making a decision about travel is worrisome.…

Mexico City: Our Tour's Top Restaurants
The Women’s Travel Group is known for unusual hand crafted itineraries. We also hand pick restaurants. This past year, we toured Iran, Tuscany, Amalfi Coast, Mexico City, including The Yucatan, Ethiopia, and more. Each trip includes special meals (Ethiopia is different). So how do we choose?
Safety and cleanliness are number one.
Quality of cuisine
A connection with local customs and ingredients. In The Yucatan we ate fresh jumbo shrimp and fish from the Gulf of Mexico. In Tuscany we ate what we cooked under the supervision of our professional chef.…
