I am reading a terrific book which explains why Egypt is so fascinating to us as women travelers. At any age in The Women’s Travel Group one wants to visit Egypt. The book is about The Rosetta Stone, carved in 197 BC in Egypt. The stone’s carvings describe a decree is in ancient Greek, in 2 ancient Egyptian scripts, one is hieroglyphics.

The Future is No Checked Luggage?
A few weeks ago in Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport, there was no checked luggage. The Amsterdam Airport had a mechanical glitch. Schiphol, one of the most important airports in the world, announced that luggage in transit was stuck there. This announcement put a lot of people into hysteria. Those people included me, as I am flying and connecting in Amsterdam soon. The Scent of Lost Luggage
Lost Luggage it felt like a disaster or at least the worst possible situation: lost luggage. Three of us in a Women’s Travel Group of 20 ladies, flew to India a day before the group. It was a direct British Airways flight: London to Delhi. What could go wrong? Luggage was checked through so embarkation was a breeze.

Go now, the Euro is so low, you can travel like a Hedonist. Yes our group is off to Italy to splurge.
As of yesterday, the Euro fell to near $1, the lowest since 2002 and a steep fall from $1.18 a year ago. What a steal for us going to Europe. Americans are getting a 15% discount in Europe. Shopping meccas like Italy are an especial target for us.

Summer travel frenzy is upon us; flight attendants will be super busy. Did you know that until last month, Delta flight attendants were not paid until the airplane door closed? Boarding is fraught with anxiety, selfishness and impatience. Flight attendants deserve twice their pay for this part of the journey. Disgraceful for an industry we bailed out with $billions.
