    Yes I was in a dangerous riot along with a member of our group. Here is what happened and what we learned.  We decided to follow pedestrians all walking in one direction. Perhaps there was market? festival? parade? We ended up facing a large square, empty except for a line of men and women. Was this a parade?  We quickly noticed another line moving forward; it was one of armed police. It took a moment to realize there was going to be a confrontation.

    Do you need a written paper ticket anymore? This is an older blog post but women still ask us. 

    Yes you might.  Having said that, it can be hard to even get a paper ticket anymore and some airlines only accept electronic tickets. There are  important numbers on your written ticket and the receipt/itinerary for an electronic ticket. The easy one is called a PNR and is a record of your actual reservation.  Once your reservation is confirmed and paid, you will be sent this number.
