Summer Travel and Flight Attendants Jobs
Summer travel frenzy is upon us; flight attendants will be super busy. Did you know that until last month, Delta flight attendants were not paid until the airplane door closed? Boarding is fraught with anxiety, selfishness and impatience. Flight attendants deserve twice their pay for this part of the journey. Disgraceful for an industry we bailed out with $billions.

Does war destroy Women’s Wanderlust?
War in the Ukraine; does war destroy our female wanderlust?
Source: European-Union.Europa.eu Let’s start with the fact that no European Union country has issued a travel warning related to war. Quite the opposite in fact, EU countries are easing regulations for what we know as ‘non essential travel’. Flights and hotels are full and flight statistics show price increases related to greater bookings. The Women’s Travel Group is busy and we see many of the same trends.Travel to Western Europe is benefitting from pent up demand from Europeans.…

Money Mistakes Overseas
Tips from The Women’s Travel Group to Be a Smart Banker of your own money.
To feel in control before leaving home. Some women like the idea of having money on hand when landing in a foreign country. I am one who usually takes out in local currency $100 from Chase. You usually have to order foreign money 48 hours ahead. Ask for unmarked/undamaged bills. Marked bills are hard to convert overseas.

Videos of Unruly Passengers, we like these like Candy
Are you watching videos of people out of control on airplanes? There is something addictive and I admit I love watching them.
Not wearing a mask? Using profanity at staff? Refusing to sit down? Being an obnoxious copycat with a political agenda? Since February 2021, airlines reported 1300 incidents to the FAA. This is a huge increase but still rare. Just be aware of the trend; maybe be more sympathetic to airline staff?
Since April mask wearing in airports and on airplanes has been federal law.…

Example: entry used to be automatic from The UK. Now Americans have a 14 day shelter in place quarantine and are invited in for essential travel only.

Delta & Lysol Your Dancing Partners
Good news on airplane toilet sanitation: Delta is partnering with Lysol using its disinfectant liquids, sprays and wipes on the plane, boarding areas, baggage areas and in its Sky Clubs. Lysol is the hard to find gold bar for this pandemic. The US Environmental Protection Agency approved two Lysol products as effective against the virus when used on hard, non-porous surfaces.
R Lysol Disinfectant Spray and Lysol Disinfectant Max Cover Mist meet the EPA’s criteria for killing the virus fast. Now with Delta also buying it we know why Lysol is impossible to find in stores or on line.…

Packing and Weather
Packing and weather do not dance together well. During Summer, we pack light clothes and tees; therefore, forgetting that altitude and general direction of winds can create unseasonably cold air. Moreover, we forget that planes are cold and some airports as well. In winter we can overpack again forgetting that in cold weather, one can use sweaters and jeans for a number of days. But that shoes might get wet so we need a second pair.
A good way to zero in on what to pack is to make some notes on what you are wearing on different weather days.…
