Yelp.com the new best travel friend
Yes, I did invest in Yelp as I was so impressed with the service. For a woman traveling solo, it was invaluable.
Here is why I like yelp.com: it is easy to use, nothing technical, nothing complicated. Here is how I have used it while traveling solo and did not have others to ask for advice:
For a hairdresser in Los Angeles within walking distance of where I stayed. Yelp listed several with consumer reviews of who was good at what kind of hair and how much it cost.…

Men Lazy When Packing Says Study
Skyscanner, a global research company, has published statistics on packing: men versus women in Thailand.
First the weird news:
Women pack 56% of men’s vacation suitcases. 6% of men say they have NEVER packed their suitcase for vacation trips.
27% of men do not pack themselves even for business trips. Now the bad news:
56% of women pack more than men do. Women begin to pack a few days before the trip. The study says women are smarter and more organized: duh we know that.… -
Single Supplement: 6 reasons it bothers women more than men
The most discussed issue for women travelers is still the penal single supplement. Overseas hotels charge by the room, not by the person meaning that one person in a room costs double what two persons would pay.
Why is it that men do not complain as much as we do about paying more?
1-First and foremost, we earn less!
2-Women nest more in their room, meaning the actual ambiance is more important to us.
3-We like our ‘toilette’ time, time to clean up and look fresh so the amenities talk to us.… -
Day 5
Ixtapan Spa dinner, trout with veggies and tonight we sprinkled some sea salt with lime and chili on the fish
Suggestion for all travels: especially Indua bring home spices from the local supermarket not the tourist spots.

Solo Travel and Award Winning Tour of India for Women
The benefits of being a solo traveler within a group are many. India especially calls for travel pals. Let’s remind all of you that SITA our partners have been called Best for India Tours.
## The costs are divided up amongst the group. Analyses of group travel prices prove that again and again. Check out the cost of a private guide for the Taj Mahal versus a guide for a small group of women?
## You have company when you want and can do your own thing when you want.… -
Unpacking from Argentina; Ready for India
What a let down to be home from our 12 day Argentina tour. A great group of women joined me starting in Parisian like Buenos Aires then the high Andes and Iguazu Falls. Wine Wine Wine…..and none of it Whine.
Efficient unpacking:
1- dump the laundry
2- put all paperwork, receipts, etc in a ziplock bag.
3-replace unused travel pills back in another zip lock with a code so you know which is which pill.
4-lock up your passport
5-check your online credit card accounts to ensure all is safe and sound.… -
Shopping's learning curve
What we are learning on our Argentina tour has reversed how we buy. If you charge on a credit card, the rate of exchange is. 5 pesos to 1 dollar. If you pay in cash the rate is 8. This is a huge difference so bringing some cash is a must.
Secondly, tourists do not go to a bank, they change money in stores. All seems totally legal and above board.
Argentines do the reverse, they buy dollar goods on line using cards as they get pay the least for US goods that way getting each dollar for.…

Murder on a Women's Tour
Here are ‘reasonable reasons’ for combat: and we hope you agree with them. If not let us know by posting here.
Whining: Solve any issue immediately even if it seems insgnificant. You will be surprised at how flexible The Women’s Travel Group can be. However everyone gets one day to whine…. maybe just a little. After jet lag, for instance on our India trip, everyone will be tired, go with it.
Regretting: If you wanted to buy something or think you overpaid for it, move on.…
