5 Hotel Rip Off's Paid for by Women Guests
1—Hotel laundry is still more expensive for women’s than for men’s clothes.
2—Women feel uncomfortable at the hotel bar so we use the mini bar for refreshment.
3—Forced pre-paid breakfast buffets in some hotel chains, rarely have food that most women eat: like sugarless yogurt and cereals. And usually have waffles, fruit loops, donuts and other fattening foods business women are trying to avoid.4—Unattended fitness rooms in corners of the hotel are not comfortable for solo women to work out in.…

New Insurance: Believe it or Not: Cheaper!
We offer travel insurance for all of The Women’s Travel Group trips. Did you know that 80% of cancellations are due to pre-existing conditions? And who doesn’t have one at this stage of the game? Pre x is anything you went to the doctor for in the 60 days prior to booking your trip. There are exceptions, of course, for stabilized conditions and we can send you more specific language. But the cost of insurance is well worth it, if you do have to cancel you visited the doc during the specified time.…

Regroup on a Group tour?
Have you ever wanted one quiet night on a busy tour? I have and here is what I do besides wash hair and get into jammies.I buy a light dinner from a nearby supermarket. Towards the front where workers buy their lunch one finds. cheese and fruit cut up already plus small bottles of wine- get only a screw top. Supermarkets overseas are often in basement areas of department stores so you need to ask. “Following other people’s bags” is a good way to identify a store or an open air market.…

Last Minute Summer Travel Specials
This Summer, why go where the crowds go, in the heat and humidity or Europe. Try this Hemisphere and fly south to Argentina and Peru, the two most visited countries in S. America. Avoiding crowds but still getting good weather has benefits beyond those you are aware of.
Flights are less crowded, seating easier and staff less harried. Going a bit off season means cheaper hotels and restaurants that do not need pre-booking. People in the destination have more time to talk with you in shops, and museums and in Argentina are more anxious to give you a deal with US Dollars.…

Make piles of small cheap items, arrange by color/shape or materials. If you cannot see an evolving collection, toss.

Don't travel with The Times; Travel with Women who Read It
Why go on such overpriced trips as sold by prestigious newspapers, schools and museums? You might go to meet the speakers or be assured that you fellow travelers are informed. The NY Times Travel (probably operated by a generic tour operator) offers Tuscany at $5395 and Peru at $4395: hundreds of dollars more than The Women’s Travel Group does!
But if you look at the prices of these trips, here is what you get:
A possible one time encounter with the speaker. …

Cash + Will: Don't be a Travel Virgin
Maybe India is not for you, but it was for these women who met a Holy Man while we drove to Agra with The Women’s Travel Group. Our next trip to India is almost full.
There are many newish articles about boomer women traveling, a trend we see but you are probably afraid of. Look at a travel brochure and you will still see the handsome couple on the deck, hair blowing gently. Look at the reality of who is traveling and you will see us women: more windblown, more casual yet more friendly in appearance.…
