  • Solo Travel and Award Winning Tour of India for Women

August 23, 2013 / India travel, single supplement waiver, singles vacations, solo travel, The Women's Travel Group, tours for women, womens travel clubs

The benefits of being a solo traveler within a group are many. India especially calls for travel pals. Let’s remind all of you that SITA our partners have been called Best for India Tours.

    ## The costs are divided up amongst the group. Analyses of group travel prices prove that again and again. Check out the cost of a private guide for the Taj Mahal versus a guide for a small group of women?
    ## You have company when you want and can do your own thing when you want.…

Unpacking from Argentina; Ready for India

August 21, 2013 / India travel, single supplement waiver, singles vacations, solo travel, The Women's Travel Group, travel clubs, women's travel, womens travel clubs

What a let down to be home from our 12 day Argentina tour. A great group of women joined me starting in Parisian like Buenos Aires then the high Andes and Iguazu Falls. Wine Wine Wine…..and none of it Whine.

    Efficient unpacking:
    1- dump the laundry
2- put all paperwork, receipts, etc in a ziplock bag.
3-replace unused travel pills back in another zip lock with a code so you know which is which pill.
    4-lock up your passport
5-check your online credit card accounts to ensure all is safe and sound.…

  • The Andes!

    The Andes!

August 15, 2013 / Argentina travel, single supplement waiver, singles vacations, solo travel, The Women's Travel Group, tours for women, women's travel

Today we drove way north towards Bolivia and Chile ending up at 12,200 ft. The views of the seven colored mountains, the salt lake, and Andean villages were thrilling. We saw llamas, wild Vicunas and finished our day in a market town full of crafts and alpaca scarves and blankets.

Box lunches of crunchy rolls and BBQ chicken worked and before you ask, we did have several ‘technical’ stops.

    Shopping's learning curve

August 14, 2013 / Argentina travel, India travel, Morocco tours, Pushkar Camel tours, single supplement waiver, singles vacations, solo travel

What we are learning on our Argentina tour has reversed how we buy. If you charge on a credit card, the rate of exchange is. 5 pesos to 1 dollar. If you pay in cash the rate is 8. This is a huge difference so bringing some cash is a must.

Secondly, tourists do not go to a bank, they change money in stores. All seems totally legal and above board.

Argentines do the reverse, they buy dollar goods on line using cards as they get pay the least for US goods that way getting each dollar for.…

  • Murder on a Women's Tour

August 8, 2013 / India travel, Morocco tours, Pushkar Camel tours, single supplement waiver, singles vacations, solo travel, The Women's Travel Group, tours for women

Here are ‘reasonable reasons’ for combat: and we hope you agree with them. If not let us know by posting here.

Whining: Solve any issue immediately even if it seems insgnificant. You will be surprised at how flexible The Women’s Travel Group can be. However everyone gets one day to whine…. maybe just a little. After jet lag, for instance on our India trip, everyone will be tired, go with it.
Regretting: If you wanted to buy something or think you overpaid for it, move on.…

  • Snooze: how to get through the long flight to Argentina!

August 8, 2013 / India travel, Pushkar Camel tours, Shopping overseas, single supplement waiver, singles vacations, The Women's Travel Group

The Women’s Travel Group goes to Argentina today.

Hour 1 Read heavy-duty stuff you have been avoiding then throw out the magazines. My heavy-duty is The New York Review of Books.
Hour 2 Bring junk literature you love but are ashamed to buy. Like the female version of drinking from a brown paper bag.  Movie Star gossip is the best here.
Hour 3 Eat as slowly as possible, finishing with your airplane treat. If you plan to drink alcohol, add in lots of water also. …

The Pushkar Camel Market if you don't like camels….

August 5, 2013 / India travel, Pushkar Camel tours, single supplement waiver, singles vacations, solo travel, The Women's Travel Group

The Pushkar Camel Market is not a mere market. It is now considered one of the greatest travel experiences possible. Here are the details of our group tour including our luxury tented camp. This is a market you will wander into solo!

Pushkar is a huge gathering of tribal peoples from all over Rajasthan. The market is one of the last great traditional gatherings globally and because it is in India, it is particularly spectacular and colorful.

Here is what you will see: Camel Races and performances: ever see a dancing camel?…
