The Women’s Travel Group spoke to a lady last week who could use her phone camera. However she did not know how to attach a photo to an email. Here you go: take your picture. The picture is filed automatically in a camera roll or photo app. In smart phones, you select the photo you wish to share, add a check mark to it, then share it- text? email? whatspp?.

Here are 10 situations where a photo will save you money, time or more white hair.

Photo your passport picture page. Why? You can leave the actual passport securely in your hotel safe. If you lose your passport, you have proof to show officials.

Photo passport visa pages if you needed a special visa stamp on entry or prior to the trip. Again if you lose your passport, you can prove you entered legally.

Photo your suitcase, who remembers the size, exact color and make if needed?

Photo the inside of your suitcase- as you packed it. You will know if someone went into it.

Photo your travel documents so you don’t need wifi to open them. Below is a hard copy of a document you might not know about. It lists all vaccinations; some countries still ask for this.

Photo the airline departure board to prove cancellation or flight delays to your insurer.

Photo the long check in line to show you were on time per airline rules.

Photo the line at the expensive airline lounge you paid for and cannot use.

Photo a broken airline seat. (Most airline staff will make an honest report.)

Photo any sign on your travels that contradicts what you paid for: ie. rental car return is closed for lunch!
