It is true that you cannot go home again. But you can travel again post widowhood, divorce,ex-partner or just reluctant husband. You might not see Paris as ‘a romantic’ or Mexico as ‘beach margaritas’ or India as a ‘shoppers’ delight’. But you will see these places with new colors: Paris as ‘elegant but cosy’; Mexico as ‘artistically modern’; India as ‘insightful and ayurvedic’.

Traveling the second time around or third if you were a hosteler in the 1960’s-70’s is different, not less wonderful. If you let your memories be obstacles, you are missing  the fun. A few ways to drop that veil:

Paris: see different things from those you enjoyed in Chapter 1. Paris is dynamic with shockingly new architecture, hilarious food tours, and a low Euro.  In our Paris for Christmas trip, you will create new memories with lunch on the Seine and Christmas eve in an 18c church.

Mexico is not just beach. Mexico City is hailed as a not-to-miss art, architecture, jewelry, food destination. In a few days we go from Frida Kahlo to 21c art to traditional shopping and food.

Finally India: first time we were awed and overwhelmed. India with its newly rich classes has the modern roads and airports that make travel there smooth. Shopping? Well maybe, but tender temple sites, gorgeous landscapes, village surprises- this is a different India.
